Dr. Matthew Hoven is a professor of sport and religious studies at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. When Dr. Hoven reached out to talk about creating a new website that met his professional and academic goals, I was hooked on the premise of working alongside someone that combined two things close to my heart — sports and religion!

Pre-planning was done over the period of a few months, and content creation (writing and photography), design, and development was completed over the course of six weeks. The design mockups seen here were done in Adobe Illustrator: the final site is available here.
